Born in 1982 in Hlinsko. BSc, MScand PhD degrees at Faculty of Sciences at the University of South Bohemia andInstitute of Hydrobiology, Biology Centre of Czech Academy of Sciences (ČeskéBudějovice, Czech Republic). BSc thesis on efficiency of seine net and MScthesis on long-term development of fish population in the Rimov Reservoir (Czechia).PhD thesis on dynamics of fish distribution in reservoirs and focused on dielhorizontal migration of fish and development of active sampling gears. Allacademic degrees supervised by Prof. Jan Kubečka PhD. After PhD awarded byFulbright scholarship and 10 months stayed at Cornell University in ISA (teamof prof. Lars Rudstam) working on fish distribution in Lake Ontario. Afterpostdoc started with application of high resolution telemetry to Czech lakesand reservoirs. Participation on various nationaland international projects. Leader of national COST project focused onapplication of telemetry to Czech reservoirs. Otto Wichterle Award of CzechAcademy of Sciences in 2017. Since 2003, a student assistant worker and latelya junior researcher at FishEcU, Institute of Hydrobiology, Biology Centre ofCzech Academy of Sciences.
